By: Lauren Francis-Jackson
One of our most popular services on the rise is color! Color can give a person a brand new look, more confidence, and add to their overall personal style. Many clients know that they want to color their hair, however have no clue which option to select on our menu of services. We are going to break down single Process and Double Process Color to help you decide which is best for you and your goals with color!
At Locspiration Salon, we do require a color consultation for any new clients to help determine what is their past experience with color and what their current color goals are. This important consultation process helps us as the stylist to guide the direction of the conversation about types of coloring services. In terms of coloring systems, we use a variety of coloring brands from Wells, Pravana, Eco Colors, Fanola, and more. Depending on color desired, we use colors ranging from semi permanent to permanent. In general, color services will be cheaper for clients with shorter and average density of hair due to less color and time required for processing.
Single Process Color by definition is a coloring service where there is only one step (and one coloring process) to achieve a desired look. This service is ideal for a client that wants to transition from a lighter color and wants to go darker. It is also ideal for a client who wants a small shift in color using a semi permanent color. This coloring service starts at $80 for loose natural clients and $100 for loc’d clients.
Double Process Color by definition is a coloring service where there is 2 steps in the process, typically lifting the hair to a lighter tone then depositing color to tone the hair to the desired shade. If you are desiring a major shift in color, this service is for you. If you want to go for a high intensity or vibrant color like bright red, electric blue, etc., this service is for you. If you have hair that is dark and want to go shades lighter, this service is for you. If your want to lift your base color and add highlights, this service is for you. Double Process Color starts at $130 for looose naturals and $150 for loc’d hair.
