How should I prepare my hair for a consultation?
Please remove any protective styles like braids and other extensions. Your hair should be freshly washed within 24 hours. Your hair should be air dried and free from products like leave ins, oils, etc. We should be able to see how your natural texture appears with no product in it. This is so we have an accurate assessment of your hair and scalp. If your hair is not prepped according to these methods, we will have to reschedule your appointment.
Can I book a consultation and service for the same day?
Unfortunately, you must have a completed consultation before scheduling one of the new client packages. If you attempt to schedule both prior to your consultation, your appointment will be cancelled.
I’ve been to Locspiration a few years ago, can I just schedule a new appointment as a returning guest?
If it has been more than 6 months since your last salon visit, you will need an updated consultation.
Do you allow additional guests?
No additional guests for safety and insurance reasons. We offer services in a private 1-on-1 environment to minimize contact between guests who do not live in the same household. Parents are allowed to accompany their child during the child’s hair appointment.
Do you take walk ins?
No, we are an “appointment only” salon.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policies?
We require 48 hours notification for cancelling your appointment. Appointments cancelled within the 48 hour window are subject to additional fees.
Less than 48-24 hours 50% of the service cost
Same Day Cancellation 100% of the service cost
Cancellations must be made in writing by phone, text message, or email only.
All rescheduling requests must be made more than 48 hours in advance. Reschedules are only valid for the same month as the original appointment.
COVID-19 Policies & Procedures
In these times, we are learning to live life with COVID-19 in our world. We have to adapt and change how we live our lives with COVID-19 in mind. Since the beginning of the pandemic, our salon has been proactive in our policies and procedures for COVID-19. Here is a summary of our policies and procedures:
If you or anyone in your household is experiencing any signs of illness, awaiting COVID-19 testing results, has been exposed to COVID-19, or are experiencing fever, coughing, or trouble breathing- please reschedule your appointment until you are symptom free. If you arrive to your appointment exhibiting signs of illness or COVID-19, your appointment will be immediately terminated with NO REFUND.
During our Salon’s COVID-19 screener, we will ask about you experiencing illness or COVID-19 symptoms, your exposure to COVID-19, and traveling within 14 days. If you have traveled within 14 days outside of the DMV area, we require that you submit negative COVID-19 testing results or wait 14 days after returning to Maryland before returning to the salon.
Face Masks are required for all salon guests and staff.
All guests and staff will be required to undergo mandatory symptom screening prior to coming into the salon.
Our salon will be cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected before the start of the day, in between each client, and at the close of the day.
After check in, all guests must wash their hands for 20 seconds before the start of their service.
At check in on the Day of Your Appointment, here is the flow:
- Text us upon your arrival at 240-758-2763
- Fill out your COVID-19 screener (the link is in the confirmation email sent 24 prior to your appointment)
- Wait to be notified via text that we are ready for you to come inside the salon
- Meet your stylist in the lobby for temperature check (temperature must be below 99 to be serviced)
- Wash your hands in the bathroom prior to service
