Locspiration believes in excellent guest service, hair care, beauty care, and education for you. In order to provide exceptional customer service and ensure that your appointment with Locspiration The Natural Hair Salon & Spa is enjoyable, please adhere to the policies below:
DEPOSIT
Services are “by appointment only” and we require appointments to be confirmed with a non-refundable deposit. The deposit is deducted from the total cost of services, and the balance is due at the time of the appointment.
Deposits are $25-50 for most regular hair services (for longer services the deposit may be more) and is payable when booking appointments. For spa services, card on file is required to reserve an appointment.
CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
We do require 48 hours advance notice for all cancellations, modifications, and/or rescheduling*. For cancellations with 48 hour (or greater) notice, the guest is forfeiting their deposit. For cancellations with less than 48 hours, guest must pay 50% of the appointment cost. Same day/no show cancellations will be charged 100% of the appointment cost. For consultations and spa services, the deposit is forfeited. For rescheduling, guest will have one opportunity to reschedule your appointment within the same month of the original appointment when 48 hour notice is given. If the guest does not reschedule within the time frame, it will be treated as a cancellation.
SNOW STORM & INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the event of snow/inclement weather, the Salon’s cancellation policy is still in effect However, if the client is feeling unsure or uncomfortable with the upcoming weather, it is your responsibility to cancel or reschedule prior to 48 hours before your appointment to avoid additional cancellation fees. Typically, the Salon will make a determination of whether or not to open or close the Salon closer to the event. If you would rather not wait for the Salon to make a decision on whether to open or close and don’t want to risk being charged a fee, please reschedule in advance for peace of mind. For those that don’t mind waiting for the Salon to make the call on whether to open the Salon, feel free to keep your appointment as scheduled. We absolutely will close the salon if the forecast recommends staying off the roads for safety or if there is a winter storm warning in effect. In this case, we will gladly reschedule all appointments on our schedule, with no penalty/cancellation fees assessed, due to salon closure.
SISTERLOCKS™/BROTHERLOCKS™ & MICROLOCKS
During the Sisterlocks™ or Brotherlocks™ package, we require 2 weeks advance notice for cancelling or rescheduling a Sisterlocks™ or Brotherlocks™ Locking session or Microlock/Microlock Extensions installation. If you cancel within 2 weeks, your deposits will be forfeited and full payment is required before rescheduling. The Follow Up Visit (Sisterlocks or Brotherlocks) must be scheduled three weeks after your establishment. If it is scheduled 4 weeks or more after your establishment, it will be considered a regular retightening and regular pricing will apply. For all Sisterlock or Brotherlocks appointments, it is required that the guest shampoos their hair within 24 hours of their appointment unless the client requests a shampoo service. If the guest’s hair is not shampooed within the required time frame, the stylist will complete shampoo service if there is time available. The guest’s appointment may need to be rescheduled if there is not time available for shampooing.
For transfer Sisterlocks™ or Brotherlocks™ guests, a transfer consultation is required before scheduling an appointment for a retightening.
LATENESS
Please call if you are going to be arriving late. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled. Your appointment time will be charged from the beginning of the appointment regardless of when the guest arrives. The minutes late will be added to the service time.
CONSULTATIONS
Consultations are a good opportunity to learn about our services, get questions answered about specific styles, and learn more about going natural or the locking process. The consultation fee for hair services is $25-50 and can be applied to future services when scheduled at the consultation.
To prepare your hair for consultations, please come with freshly washed hair (within 24 hours) that is completely dry. Allow hair to air dry in twists or flat twists/cornrows. We need to observe your natural curl pattern. If hair is not prepped as such, your consultation will be cancelled and the client will be responsible for setting a new consultation.
COVID-19 PROCEDURES
In this new normal, salons will be operating different. If you are experiencing sickness and/or COVID-19 symptoms, please reschedule your appointment. If you have been in contact with or live in a household with people who are exhibiting general sick symptoms and/or COVID-19 symptoms, please reschedule. The day prior to your appointment you will be sent the link to the Salon & Spa’s COVID screener. The link is at the bottom of the confirmation email sent 24 hours before your appointment. Please fill out prior to your appointment. You must wear a mask into the salon suite; your mask must remain on at all times within the salon suite. At check-in, you must sign in, have your temperature taken, and use the hand sanitizer station to sanitize your hands. Please bring only necessary items into the salon.
BEFORE & AFTER HOURS SERVICE
Services that take place before or after hours of operation or go beyond the hours of operation will be charged at a higher rate. This does not apply to Sisterlocks/Brotherlocks & Microlocs Installations. The current pricing structure is:
Services that extend before or after hours $10/hr up to 2 hours. More than 2 hours will be charged at a flat rate of $50.
After hours service (service on non-work days or holidays) $25+
ATMOSPHERE
We believe the your time in the salon should be a relaxing one. No children or additional guests are allowed unless being serviced in the salon.
PAYMENT
We accept cash, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, all major credit cards and debit cards, and Apple Pay/Samsung Pay.
*Rescheduling: A rescheduled appointment is a request for the same service on a different day and or time. Requests for a different service, even on the same day and or time, will be handled as cancellation and deposits will not be refunded or transferred.
